Our COOL product family has been successfully in use for some time. But now there’s some very positive news.
The development of a particular HYDRO lacquer called COOL-NATURA now perfects the family's happiness. This is a new brightening lacquer that contributes special properties. Surfaces coated with COOL-NATURA are as matt as bare wood at any viewing angle and feel exactly the same. The pure beauty of the wood is fully retained, both optically and to the touch. At the same time of course, surface protection is not compromised. This new water-based natural wood effect lacquer offers excellent scratch resistance and particularly good chemical and mechanical resistance. It meets DIN 68861 1C and has a proportion of 7 % renewable raw materials, so it’s an absolute frontrunner on the market. You can find many more details on this new development here
Its sustainability factor is incomparably high
The complete COOL Family are 1-component water-based lacquers, so their sustainability factor is incredibly high. This isn’t only good for the environment.
So here’s a short overview of the individual HYDRO lacquer family members.
The name COOL was chosen because they allow you to confidently solve all interior fitting requirements in a very eco-friendly way. These products are suitable for "Green Building" projects. We therefore offer you four universally usable lacquers that already cut a good figure separately, but fit together perfectly in a complete system.
The COOL-FILL ideally prepares the substrate for the subsequent coat of colour lacquer, while being adjusted thixotropic, having a high filling power and being flame-retardant according to DIN EN 13501-1. It can be used for complete HYDRO applications as well as for combined applications with solvent-based lacquers.
Our COOL-COLOR brings colour into play. Virtually any colour and any application in interior fitting is possible, whether on stairs, doors or furniture. COOL-COLOR with a corresponding additive can even be used for colour coating on glass. Certification of low flammability according to DIN EN 13501-1 applies equally to a coloured COOL coating.
Our COOL-TOP is a universal, lightfast multicoat lacquer, which thus also functions as a stand-alone product in the open-pore domain. It can be used to coat basecoats and top coats. In a set with COOL-FILL and COOL-COLOR, our TOP lacquer forms the ideal finish coating in all gloss levels. Its very good grain accentuation and transparency coupled with outstanding chemical and mechanical resistance make it the prefect choice for use on exclusive interior fittings.
And COOL-NATURA is now also part of the family as a brightening lacquer with its genuine natural wood look and feel. This development continues the trend towards fully natural wood in interior fittings, and looks particularly elegant on the likes of spruce, pine or other pale woods.
