The clear Hesse nitrocellulose basecoat NG 380 has very good body. It is fast drying and sands to a powder. In combination with Hesse CN hard coating lacquers this coating product is a valued, single component nitrocellulose basecoat that is uncomplicated to apply. Can be applied by flow coating. The product is free from phthalate softeners and therefore also suitable for coating children's toys.

Surface preparation Clean dry wood, according to the wood type, application process and desired effect.
Substrate sanding grits from-to 150 - 180
Lacquer sanding (grit) from - to 280 - 320
Finishing Can be coated with matching Hesse top coats after adequate drying and careful sanding, for example with: (NE 30x(gloss level), NH 36x(gloss level))
Yield per coat 8 - 9 m²/l

The spreading rate is heavily dependent on the type of application. The specifications relate to a liter of ready-for-use product, if necessary including hardener and thinner.
Storage temperature 10 - 30 °C
Working temperature 20 °C
Processing instructions You can apply one to three coats at 100 - 120 g/m². The maximum application amount in wet film totals 300 g/m2.
