A pigmented nitrocellulose primer, very well filling and well covering. Hesse CN Pigment filler NP 180-(colour tone) is quick drying and very powdered sandable. In addition, the product is formulated to be free from aromas and phthalate softeners and suitable for coating children's toys.

Fields of application

For home furniture, interior design and various types of wood, primer foils and MDF. Direct edge coating of MDF is also possible.

Surface preparation Clean, dry wood, depending on species and application method. Perform cleaning by sanding on foil or melamine before coating.
Substrate sanding grits from-to 150 - 320
Lacquer sanding (grit) from - to 320 - 400
Finishing After proper cutting back of the lacquer with Hesse EB or NB coloured lacquers. (For instance, Hesse CN Coloured lacquer ranges EB 13x(gloss level)-(colour tone) or NB 130x(gloss level)-(colour tone))
Comments on sanding To exclude bond failures within the coating layers, already coated and sanded transparent or pigmented NC lacquers must be coated with the desired finish within one working day (8 h). If this time is exceeded, the surface will need to be cut back again.
Yield per coat 6 - 7 m²/l

The spreading rate is heavily dependent on the type of application. The specifications relate to a liter of ready-for-use product, if necessary including hardener and thinner.

Processing instructions
One to three-coat application with 150 - 180 g/m² is possible. The maximum total application amount is 360 g/m².
Particular instructions When top coating in pastel colour tones in particular, with the usual Hesse CN coatings and finishing lacquers, for better colour stability we recommend the addition of 2 - 5 % NP 180-(colour tone).
General instructions on workmanship Please apply a test coat under real conditions!
