Two-component PU acrylate resin lacquer, levelling, lightening, fast drying, light fast and formulated with light protection. A multicoat lacquer for base and top coats for open-pore structures. This product can be used on bleached woods. Moreover, it is free from phthalate softeners, so that it is also suitable for coating children's toys.

Fields of application

In the entire interior and for equalisation of grit defects, for example in cherry wood, or for preservation of natural wood tones such as, for example, oak, conifers and wenge wood. Aside from that, the product can be used with different types of hardeners and mixing ratios

The spreading rate is heavily dependent on the type of application. The specifications relate to a liter of ready-for-use product, if necessary including hardener and thinner.

Processing instructions If necessary, the product can be mixed with DR 4071 (mixing ratio 10:1 (volumetric)) to optimize the chemical and mechanical resistance.
Particular instructions The equalising effect is only obtained by direct coating of the wood. Do not sand through the lacquer product! For an additionally strong brightening effect, please apply Hesse PU Natural Wood Effect DA 400-1. After suitable drying (at least 48 h / 20 °C) and proper sanding, DA 408-0 can be over-painted once, e.g. with Hesse UNA-PUR DE 55x(gloss level) or Hesse MEGA-PUR DE 56x(gloss level).
General instructions on workmanship PU lacquers should not be applied and dried at material and room-temperatures below 18 °C and 40 % RH. Ideal values are: 20 - 25 °C, 50 - 65 % RH. Deviations will result in drying or hardening errors. In order to avoid adhesion problems, please sand the PU lacquered surfaces before applying fresh lacquer and apply lacquer to the sanded surfaces as soon as possible. Old lacquer and hardener mixtures affect the surface quality (adhesion/resistance). Freshly bleached substrates must undergo intermediate drying for at least 48 h at 20 °C before coating with suitable PU lacquers. If stored correctly (at least 20 °C room temperature), the final hardness of the coating is achieved after a week.
Please apply a test coat under real conditions!
