Comments on sanding To prevent problems of bonding between the coating layers, the surface of clear lacquer that has already been applied and sanded back must be coated with the desired subsequent coating material within one working day (8 h at 20 °C). Repeated slight sanding will be required if this time is exceeded!
Yield per coat 6 - 10 m²/l

Processing instructions This product can be used for one to two coat application at 100 - 150 g/m² on suitable Hesse basecoats. The maximum application amount in wet film totals 300 g/m2.
Particular instructions Pre-priming is possible depending on the desired finish and substrate, for example with: DG 4720-0001, DG 4717-0005, DG 4734, DG 4716-0002, DG 4760.
This coating material is not suitable for application on bleached surfaces! If you wish to apply a coating to a bleached surface in combination with PU basecoats that are resistant to peroxide, the following Hesse PU brilliant lacquers can be used: DU 46269-0005, DU 45229, DU 48999. PU Brilliant lacquer DU 46269 has not been developed for use on pigmented substrates (colour lacquers)! Please use products DU 46269-0005, DU 45229 or DU 48999 as alternatives.
General instructions on workmanship PU lacquers should not be applied and dried at material and room-temperatures below 18 °C and 40 % RH. Ideal values are: 20 - 25 °C, 50 - 65 % RH. Deviations will result in drying or hardening errors. In order to avoid adhesion problems, please sand the PU lacquered surfaces before applying fresh lacquer and apply lacquer to the sanded surfaces as soon as possible. Old lacquer and hardener mixtures affect the surface quality (adhesion/resistance). Freshly bleached substrates must undergo intermediate drying for at least 48 h at 20 °C before coating with suitable PU lacquers. If stored correctly (at least 20 °C room temperature), the final hardness of the coating is achieved after a week.
Please apply a test coat under real conditions!

The coating process and the precise treatment parameters are adapted in each case to the respective application and drying conditions and can be found in the customer-specific process descriptions (surface techniques).
