Drying 5 h / 20 °C
Stackable after > 16 h / 20 °C
Complete drying 7 d / 20 °C
Surface preparation On suitable Hesse PU coloured lacquers and basecoats. Prior to application, the substrate must be freshly sanded, clean and free of grease.
Substrate sanding grits from-to 400 - 800
Intermediate sanding (grits) from-to 600 - 800

Comments on sanding We recommend selecting an abrasive with a very high degree of hardness (e.g. an aluminium oxide based one)
Yield per coat 4 - 16 m²/l

The spreading rate is heavily dependent on the type of application. The specifications relate to a liter of ready-for-use product, if necessary including hardener and thinner.
Storage temperature 16 - 40 °C
Working temperature 20 °C
Particular instructions ADAMANT can be polished and buffed after at least 16 h / 20 °C. Forced drying is possible up to a maximum of 30 °C. Pre-priming is an option depending on the desired surface requirements and the substrate material, e.g. using clear Hesse PU Base coats DG 417 / DG 4717-0005, DG 468-3 / DG 4760, DG 4763, DG 4750 and with Hesse PU Colour lacquers DB 555-(colour tone) / DB 45245-(colour tone), DB 525-(colour tone) / DB 45205-(colour tone), DB 44765-(colour tone) and DB 48885-(colour tone). Due to ADAMANT’s inherent colouring, check colour tones in advance when finishing with colour lacquers! The addition of 10 - 30 % thinner to the lacquer / hardener mixture should be adapted according to the component and application conditions. This product is not suitable for use on bleached surfaces!
“A risk assessment was undertaken according to Directive 2014/90/EU, Annex II, Section 3. This coating does not pose a physical risk to health nor a risk to the environment when cured and dried.”
General instructions on workmanship For treatment with PU lacquers, it must be ensured that all parts on the sprayer used that supply lacquer materials (hoses, intake nozzles, etc.) are cleaned carefully before treatment and that all old lacquer residue is removed from them.
