A colourless dual-component PU acrylic resin primer, light-fast, resilient, particularly transparent and with excellent bonding to critical carriers. The Hesse PU special primer DG 4744 can also be used as a primer for effect lacquering onto or behind glass.

Surface preparation
The surface preparation is crucial in ensuring good coat bonding. When lacquering glass, we recommend using Hesse glass cleaning agent ZD 101.
Comments on sanding If the Hesse PU Special primer DG 4744 is not applied to glass, a carrier sanding of grit 280 - 400 is recommended. Please apply a test coat under real conditions!
Working temperature 20 °C
Particular instructions Hesse PU effect structures behind glass, such as marble or raindrop effects, must be applied in reverse order. For final lacquering, the UNA-COLOR should also be hardened with glass lacquer hardener DR 4076-0001 at a mixing ratio (by volume) of 5 : 1.
General instructions on workmanship PU lacquers should not be applied and dried at material and room-temperatures below 18 °C and 40 % RH. Ideal values are: 20 - 25 °C, 50 - 65 % RH. Deviations will result in drying or hardening errors. In order to avoid adhesion problems, please sand the PU lacquered surfaces before applying fresh lacquer and apply lacquer to the sanded surfaces as soon as possible. Old lacquer and hardener mixtures affect the surface quality (adhesion/resistance). Freshly bleached substrates must undergo intermediate drying for at least 48 h at 20 °C before coating with suitable PU lacquers. If stored correctly (at least 20 °C room temperature), the final hardness of the coating is achieved after a week.
Please apply a test coat under real conditions!

Contract installation of a glass partition with a marble-effect coating
Substrate preparation: Clean the glass carefully and remove any grease using Hesse glass cleaner ZD 101
Basecoat: 1 x 120 - 140 g/m² Hesse PU Special basecoat DG 4744 mixed with PU Hardener DR 4076-0001 at a mixing ratio (by volume) of 5 : 1 and thinned with 5 - 10 % of DV 494 or DV 4994.
Drying: at least 16 h / 20 °C
Prepare the desired marbling colours as follows: Hesse UNA COLOR DB 555-(colour tone), mixing ratio (by volume) 5 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4076-0001 and thinned at 1 : 5 with DV 490 or DV 4900.
Adding effect: paint or dab the various colours in irregular lines. Dampen screwed-up parchment or a natural sponge with the Hesse marbling solution DV 4991 and use it to stamp the surface until the desired effect is achieved.
Drying: 1 - 2 h at 20 °C.
Top coating: 1 x 100 - 120 g/m² UNA COLOUR DB 555-(colour tone) tone mixed (by volume) at 5 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4076-0001 and thinned with 5 - 10 % of DV 494 or DV 4994.
Drying: at least 16 h / 20 °C
Packable: after at least 48 h at 20 °C.
It can be mounted or glued in position after 7 days at 20 °C.
