PU MODULO Pigment filler DP 4778-9343 is a pigmented two-component PU Alkyd basecoat. It is very voluminous, has good sanding properties and provides excellent stand beneath Hesse colour lacquers. Our PU MODULO Pigment filler is ideal for achieving a closed-pore colour lacquer finish, combined with the option of using different PU Hardener types. This enables the finisher to make process-oriented and optimum adjustment of the coating material depending on the substrate used or respectively the technical requirements for application.

Fields of application

In the complete field of interior fittings, including areas subject to high demands like kitchens and bathrooms. Can be used on various types of wood, MDF and many foils. Its superb adhesion properties mean that our PU Isolating filler can also be used as an adhesion primer on a wide variety of plastics. We recommend our IMO-certified PU Isolating filler DP 4791-9343 for ship interior coating.

Surface preparation Clean, dry wood, depending on species and application method. Perform cleaning by sanding on foil or melamine before coating.
Substrate sanding grits from-to 150 - 320
Finishing After adequate drying and careful primer sanding with Hesse CN and PU coloured lacquers.
Yield per coat 5 - 10 m²/l

The spreading rate is heavily dependent on the type of application. The specifications relate to a liter of ready-for-use product, if necessary including hardener and thinner.

Particular instructions On MDF substrates: Thick boards that have been created by gluing together several thinner boards are, due to the variance in tension, susceptible to edge ridging. It is better to select a single MDF board of the appropriate thickness. Panels that have been glued together should always be sanded flat at the edges and colourlessly pre-insulated. Any water introduced by gluing must be allowed to evaporate prior to coating.

The coating process and the precise treatment parameters are adapted in each case to the respective application and drying conditions and can be found in the customer-specific process descriptions (surface techniques).
