Surface preparation Professionally laid and prepared parquet or corresponding wooden flooring. Clean, dry wood, free of oil, grease, wax and silicones. Sanded as prescribed and free from sanding dust. Close joints beforehand properly with WOOD-FILL HS 11, sand surface and remove dust thoroughly.

Finishing With Hesse HYDRO parquet sealant, preferably with Hesse PURA-NATURA HDE 52-0.
Comments on sanding The quality and uniformity of the wood sanding are crucial to the final surface finish. Ensure uniformity of the surface and edge sanding! Remove dust properly after sanding.

The spreading rate is heavily dependent on the type of application. The specifications relate to a liter of ready-for-use product, if necessary including hardener and thinner.

Processing instructions The floor must first be sanded back to the bare wood and be dry and free from oil, grease, wax, silicones and sanding dust.. Apply the PRIMER evenly with a suitable roller. Large areas should be coated by several people at the same time. Shake the lacquer well! Press the insert sieve into the pouring hole, fill the lacquer into a suitable paint kettle and work from that! Do not use a mechanical mixer as there is a risk of foam or bubble formation! After drying for 1 - 2 h / 20 °C room temperature and with adequate air circulation, apply the suitable sealant without prior sanding. Clean work equipment with water. Dried lacquer residue can be removed with Hesse CLEANING-AGENT DV 9.
General instructions on workmanship The moisture content should be between 8 - 12 %. Please do not use and dry HYDRO lacquers at material and room temperatures below 18 °C. The ideal humidity for painting is between 55 and 65 %. In order to avoid problems with bonding, please sand the lacquered surfaces before applying fresh lacquer and apply lacquer to the sanded surfaces as soon as possible. Woods with a very high wax content such as teak can have a negative effect on bonding in some circumstances. Water-soluble wood contents such as from ash and tannic acid from woods such as oak can initiate changes in colour tones and discolouration in the lacquer. For this reason we recommend a trial lacquering be undertaken as a matter of principle to assess the colour effect, bonding and drying progression under real conditions! Notes on cleaning and care: Please observe the care instructions in accordance with DIN 18356. Wipe parquet with a slightly damp, not wet, cloth. Please use only neutral, silicone-free, salmiac-free and non-abrasive cleaners. Regular care and cleaning with Hesse PROTECT-CLEANER PR 90 and Hesse INTENSIVE-CLEANER PR 91 increases the life of the sealing.

Wood sanding: 100 grit/screen with subsequent dust removal.
Basecoat: 1 x 100 - 120 g/m² Hesse PRIMER HG 21 using a suitable roller. Intermediate drying: 2 h / 20 °C room temperature and with adequate air circulation.
Sealing: 2 x 100 - 120 g/m² Hesse PURA-NATURA HDE 52-0, mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PURA-NATURA Hardener HDR 72. Intermediate drying: at least 2 - 3 h / 20 °C room temperature and with adequate air circulation.
Intermediate sanding: 120 grit/screen with subsequent dust removal. Lacquer sanding before the last coat of lacquer: with single disc sander and 120 - 150 sanding screen with subsequent dust removal.
Accessible: after drying for at least 8 h / 20 °C room temperature with sufficient air circulation. Full resilience after 7 d / 20 °C room temperature and with adequate air circulation.
