Fast drying, two component, low viscosity pigment stain for light fast coating particularly of open-pore woods like oak and ash. A significant feature is the truly beautiful pore definition. The colour tone forms a mirror surface on the wood, it shines through from the pockets of the pores.

Surface preparation The wood must be dry, dust-free and grease-free.
Substrate sanding grits from-to 120 - 150
Lacquer sanding (grit) from - to 280 - 320
Finishing Re-coating with suitable Hesse CN or PU lacquers required.
Comments on sanding A graduated raw wood sanding is recommended. The quality of the sanding is decisive for the quality of the final result. The effect is especially distinctive after the pores are brushed out vigorously.
Yield per coat 8 - 10 m²/l

The spreading rate is heavily dependent on the type of application. The specifications relate to a liter of ready-for-use product, if necessary including hardener and thinner.

Processing instructions One to two coats of this product is sprayed on open-pore woods, such as ash or oak. For use beneath PU lacquers, DR 4070 hardener is added to the material mixing ratio 25 : 1. If subsequent coatings are to be made with UV lacquers then the DR 4070 hardener should be added mixing ratio 10 : 1.
Particular instructions Material tends to settle. Stir thoroughly before application with a dissolver.
General instructions on workmanship Trial staining of the original sanded wood with original coating should be carried out under real conditions. Only use stains from a single batch for any one job. Clean instruments with thinners such as ZD 82. Stir stains well before and during processing.

Doctor’s surgery, open-pore ash with wetted pores, white:
Wood sanding: 120 - 150 grit and brushing out of the pores
Basecoat: 2 x 120 g/m² Hesse Pigment glaze TL 138-9010, mixing ratio 25 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070
Drying: at least 10 - 20 min / 20 °C
Smoothing: 280 grit
Top coat: 1 x 100 - 150 g/m² Hesse PU Multicoat lacquer DE 42594, mixing ratio 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070 and addition of 10 - 20 % Thinner DV 490
Complete drying: at least 16 h / 20 °C
