(Flow properties)

Generally referred to as consistency, it measures how viscous a liquid is. A specific amount of substance (100 g or ml) is poured into a measuring beaker and allowed to flow through a nozzle with a defined diameter (4, 6 or 9 mm) depending on the temperature for a set time (in seconds). The results are given in DIN - (20°C) or ISO standard (23°C). 35 " DIN 4 states: Measured for 35" at 20°C with 4 mm nozzle.
